In summary, I would say my favorite was Google Docs. I had seen this concept used by my Daughter in her job and it speeded up document development tremendously.
In regard to the 7 habits:
I set a goal to finish--and I did
I accepted responsibility for my own learning but I needed a lot of help from other reference staff.
I have always enjoyed problem solving--this was no exception.
My confidence has been bolstered by these exercises; I actually got better as we progressed.
I think that's enough about the 7 habits.
My one suggestion would be to provide more basic instructions about how to navigate some of the more complex web sites. I spent too much time sometimes trying to figure out how to proceed.
I would suggest that we explore more Web 2.0 in our next exercises. I found this development so informative and I'm eager to learn more

I was somewhat familiar with NetLibrary since I work with AV at my library. The directions for downloading eAudiobooks is clearly presented--explains about license granting, and what portable devices can be used in transfer--well, more like which devices are not compatible such as IPods and Zunes.
A title I might want to try out is "Last Child In The Woods" regarding children and the environment.

I went to podcastpickle as Jammin Dave suggested. I liked their format because I could select an area of interest immediately. Podcastalley was a little harder to navigate.

Interesting podcasts for me would be health, management, literature, and AV discussions.

I had trouble finding a video on youtube that I really wanted to watch. Nothing that I saw interested me, but I finally decided on "Where is Kurdistan?"
The only thing I enjoyed about it was the music--Bolero by Ravel--one of my favorite classical pieces. Also, it was a quick geography lesson in that it circled the globe in search of Kurdistan.

I can see youtube of value in libraries to advertise a program or services--presented on the lighter side.

The Wed 2.0 award winner that I explored was PeerTrainer. It is a health and fitness site. I liked the fact that info on a large variety of diets was available, plus calorie counters, plus exercise instructions, plus group support if you chose to have dialogue with others. There was something for everyone interested in health! The one feature I didn't like was advertisement for products. I could recommend it to patrons interested in losing weight and wanting a support group.

Google Docs could be helpful for library staff in building a program across the region.. It can be a boost for students working on a joint project. Even if a student is working on a research project alone, he or she can add data from many locales. Patrons, too, will find this useful as they work on a project.

Adding to wiki's pages was fairly easy for me. Only problem I had was where to add my favorite-- at the top or bottom. It's fun after you get started!

Wikis could be useful if applied appropriately. For example, if you wanted patron involvement like Booklovers Wiki it would be interesting and beneficial for all. It would depend on your goal and how broad you used it. We could use a wiki within our library system if we wanted feedback from the staff on various subjects.
In instances where our registered patrons could contribute to a wiki would be a "boon for business"!

After reading about Web 2.0 I can appreciate why we are participating in this exercise. The article I read on Deli.ci.ous was even more informative. It separates the social users from the technical users and helped me to envision how we could use both aspects. We are moving in that direction right now by making ourselves knowledgeable about some of these new web sites I see strength for the library in the research and technical sites. I find it difficult to envision how we would assist patrons with the sociological ones. We could help them navigate the site once they are aware of it.
I would hope that we will continue to be exposed to new web sites considered web 2.0.

Wow! Google book search is great! I searched for specific poems and then explored the general category of chemistry. You could research a book for a patron and tell him if the topic he is interested in is in that book. It's another tool to dig for information. The only thing I find to complain about is more full view books are needed; but copyrights have to be honored.
Do I have any concerns about copyright--they seem to be addressing this.

Del.icio.us looks like a good bet for library staff. We were talking about the benefits of using it at the reference desk and branching off from there.
The idea of accessing your bookmarks from anywhere is the main attraction for me.

I think I have enjoyed goodreads the best so far. It was fun to see what other people read. And, after all we are in the "book business".

Regarding a prize--I really don't want one. I have needed a lot of help to get this far. I hope to finish but it may take awhile.

I created this image with lots of help from my friend Abby. It seems a little easier now that I have done it. Whew!

I liked retriever! Since I'm not artistic, I found it fascinating to draw a simple picture and get lots of ideas as examples plus see some amazing creations.

Enjoyed learning about feeds and Technorati. Although I'm swimming in all these new web sites!I like the fact that my feeds are personal and quick to get to. I enjoyed Technorati since it provided a variety of web sites--and one of my new favorites, Librarian.net. Haven't dicovered "weird" yet.

Having read the 71/2 habits, I would say the easiest is #2: responsibility for my own learning. I would list the hardest as having confidence. Those I would employ as I learn are #1: keeping my goal in mind; #6 using technology; and the last one: having fun while I achieve it.

I'm looking forward to learning concepts that will be helpful to patrons. I chose the title about book repair because I enjoy the challenge of book and audio visual repair. I'm hoping to catch a few new hints through my blog.
